We mentioned earlier that the Inter-Coastal Waterway in Savannah is beautiful. Even more stunning is the Barrier Islands along the coast. These pristine islands with their white sand beaches can only be reached by water and most are totally uninhabited by humans, just deer, turkeys, turtles, and wild boar. We will travel in an excursion boat through the inter-coastal waters to one of these islands. There we will disembark and take a walk along the beach. There’s plenty of sea shells and drift wood to collect along the way. The sea and beach along with the wild life and scenery are breathtaking. When you have had enough of the barrier island we will reboard our boat and head back to the mainland for a dockside seafood lunch. Along the way back we will be treated to dolphins. These flippers really put on a show. Contact Art McBride: Barrier Island - YES The cost per person for this most enjoyable excursion is $30 per person. Please print and fill out the reservation form and mail it along with your check to Ned Costa: Barrier Island Reservation _____________________________________________________________________________
