Message from the Executive Director, CAPO Veterans Day is always a solemn occasion to reflect on and show our gratitude for those who have fought to preserve the freedoms all Americans enjoy today. This Veterans Day however, will be yet another more somber occasion as we pay tribute to not only those who served in past wars, but honor America’s sons and daughters on active duty today in Iraq and other hot spots around the world. As former members of Casper Platoon, we naturally honor and respect our fellow crewmen who were Killed in Action or have died after their tour in Vietnam. However, today as veterans we have the opportunity to continue our mutual friendship as members of CAPO, Casper Aviation Platoon Organization. The Casper website and past Casper reunions have provided many of us with this opportunity to connect with one and other and share that common thread that bonds us together. We are all Caspers and I salute you for your outstanding military service, camaraderie and your continued brotherhood in the future. November 11th is Veterans Day. Please take a minute to stop and think about those who are responsible for the freedoms you and I enjoy today. If you see someone in uniform, give him or her a salute, a thumbs up or a simple “Thank You.” And, let us pray for the safety of those in the Armed Forces today, as they sustain the proud legacy of our nations veterans. Ned Costa Executive Director, CAPO Casper Crew Chief - Casper 721 LZ English, 7/68 - 7/69
